Course review
Mike Veail’s outreach-first rank and rent coaching program: what it teaches, what we could and couldn’t verify, and who should skip it.
The Lead Guy is Michael (Mike) Veail, an Auckland-based marketer who spent about five years in the trades before moving into lead generation. He runs a done-for-you lead gen agency at theleadguy.online and sells a coaching program called Rank & Rent Accelerator at rankandrentaccelerator.com. People often search for it as “The Lead Guy Accelerator”. There is no separate product with that name; searches for it also turn up an unrelated “Lead Gen Accelerator” by a different creator.
Disclosure: I sell low-cost rank and rent kits, so I compete with programs like this. I haven’t bought the Accelerator. Facts below are linked and were checked in October 2026.

The Accelerator’s site describes three phases: land clients first by positioning yourself as the local expert, then build the sites, then add systems and a team. That’s the opposite of the classic “rank first” approach taught by programs like Ippei’s.
Outreach first gets you paid sooner and you don’t build sites nobody wants. The catch: you’re selling a result you haven’t produced yet, so you need to be comfortable on the phone, and you carry the pressure of ranking for someone already paying. If cold calls are the part you dread, read rank and rent without cold calling first.
The sales site doesn’t show a price; you apply first. Its Skool group lists membership at Ippei’s review99 a month (checked October 2026), with no annual option or free trial shown. Ippei’s review describes it as a Skool community with templates and scripts.
The site mentions income “beyond $10K/month” and shows student testimonials such as a $2K/month retainer within four weeks, alongside a disclaimer that it makes no earnings claims. I couldn’t verify any of these results independently.
One thing worth knowing: The Lead Guy’s own “best rank and rent courses” article ranks the Accelerator first. That’s his own product, so read that list as marketing.
A fit if you’re comfortable selling to contractors, you want results sooner than a rank-first model gives you, and a monthly coaching fee is easier for you than a big upfront payment.
Not a fit if you’re an introvert who wants to avoid sales calls, or you want to see a refund policy before you pay. In that case, build one site the low-cost way first, then decide. Our course comparison lists the alternatives.

Not as a separate product. People use that name for Rank and Rent Accelerator. A different creator sells an unrelated ‘Lead Gen Accelerator’, so check which one you’re looking at.
$199 a month for the program’s Skool group (checked October 2026). The price is not shown on the sales site, where you apply first.
Outreach first means you sign a contractor before the site ranks. Rank first means you build and rank the site, then find someone to rent it. Outreach first pays sooner but needs more selling.
The model leans on contacting contractors early, so it’s harder if you want to avoid calls. A rank-first approach with written outreach is easier for introverts.
The Rank and Rent Starter Kit is built for introverts: pick the niche and city, build the site with Claude, and reach contractors with written scripts once the calls are coming in.
