Rank and Rent Accelerator Alternative: Start Without Applying or Selling

Rank & Rent Accelerator is Mike Veail’s coaching program. He’s known online as The Lead Guy. You apply through a survey, and the sales site doesn’t publish a price, but its Skool group lists it at $199 a month (checked October 2026). The model is “outreach first”: sign a contractor before your site ranks, then build and rank it.

When the Accelerator is the better choice

Outreach first is fast. If you’re comfortable selling to contractors and want income before a site ranks, signing the client first gets you there sooner than waiting on Google. Mike worked in the trades before lead generation, and coaching from someone who knows contractors is worth paying for if you’ll use it.

When the $37 alternative fits better

• You want to see the price before you apply. The kit is $37, shown up front.
• You don’t want to sell before you have anything to show. With the kit, the site ranks first and the contractor gets a real lead for free, so there’s nothing to pitch.
• You’re an introvert. So am I. The whole close happens in writing: one post, a few messages, a one-page agreement.

What you give up with the $37 kit

No coaching, no community and nobody checking your work. Ranking takes months (my first leads came 1 to 3 months after launch), one of my three sites never ranked, and many leads don’t close.
