Rank and Rent Club Review (2026): What Changed, What You Get and the Catches

How this review was written: I have not joined Rank and Rent Club. Everything below comes from rankandrent.club and Herc’s Skool join page (both checked October 13, 2026), and from Ippei Kanehara’s review (updated July 6, 2026), so you can check each claim. I sell a $37 rank and rent kit, which comes up at the end, so judge my bias accordingly.

What is Rank and Rent Club now?

A free Skool community run by Herc Magnus, built around what he calls the FBR|R method: Find, Build/Buy, Referrals | Revenue. The official site says the Club “has evolved” and now points new people to his free group, “AI SEO | Rank & Rent Lead Gen”. The join page showed about 6,200 members when I checked, and the site says 6,300+. Existing paid members still have a login on rankandrent.club.

The method teaches two paths for the same website:

• Direct to buyer (rank and rent): you rent the site to a local business, which gets every lead and pays you monthly.
• Pay per lead: you send the site’s calls to a pay per lead network, which pays for each call that qualifies. There’s no business owner to find and no sales call. See pay per lead SEO for how that model works.

The site says the method is 100% organic and uses no Google Business Profiles. That matches Google’s guidelines, which list lead generation companies as ineligible for a profile.

How much does Rank and Rent Club cost?

The community is free to join as of October 2026. The old paid membership was $497 a quarter or $1,497 a year.

The official site no longer lists the paid plans, and it doesn’t say whether they’re still sold. If you’re offered one, confirm the price and refund terms in writing before you pay.

What do you get?

In the free group

• Herc’s original Rank and Rent Method guide
• Free classroom training, open as soon as you join
• Live webinars twice a month where he builds, ranks and monetizes sites
• Questions answered by Herc in the group, and members posting their builds and results

In the old paid membership

According to Ippei’s July 2026 review, the paid membership included:

• Full training, including Google Business Profile and PBN (private blog network) modules
• Two step-by-step WordPress site builds and 150 local-business templates
• Hosting for 30 websites with free SSL
• Monthly live trainings, a private forum and a Facebook group
• Sales scripts for closing local businesses on a monthly rental
• Software: Keyword Supremacy, Xagio, Local Supremacy and SERPscout

The free group’s page doesn’t mention the software or hosting, so don’t assume they come with it.

What’s good about it?

• It costs nothing to try. You can watch live builds and judge the teaching before spending anything.
• A path with no sales call. The pay per lead option means you never have to pitch a business owner. That was the biggest catch of the old model, which included sales scripts for selling monthly rentals.
• No Google Business Profile tricks. Teaching organic rankings only keeps you inside Google’s rules.
• A large, active group. Thousands of members posting real builds is useful accountability for a beginner.

What are the catches?

The results shown are the best examples

The site shows a site “ranking #2” 22 hours after launch, Herc’s own “#1 in 6 hours”, and a single call that paid $311. These are the best results, chosen to show on the page, and the site itself says “Your results will vary”. On my own sites, the first lead took about 1 to 3 months, and one of my three sites never ranked.

Pay per lead pays only for calls that qualify

The network decides which calls count and what each one pays. One example on the site is a member’s first payout of $53.56. It’s a real path, but the income per call depends on the network’s rules for your niche.

Old material may still teach PBNs

Ippei lists PBN modules in the paid curriculum. Private blog networks are a link scheme under Google’s spam policies, and a site built on them can lose its rankings in one update. Skip that part for a first site.

Few independent reviews

Ippei lists this as a con, and I found the same: most of the results and reviews are on Herc’s own pages.

Who should join Rank and Rent Club?

Almost anyone curious about rank and rent, because it’s free. It suits you best if you learn by watching someone build live, you want a large group to ask questions in, and you like the idea of pay per lead networks instead of finding a business owner. It suits you less if you want a fixed course you can finish in order, or files you can use straight away.

Where does a $37 kit fit if the Club is free?

It’s a different thing, not a cheaper version. The Club teaches live, in a community. The Rank and Rent Starter Kit is a set of ready-to-use files for one path: rent the leads to a local contractor without a phone call. That means a City Picker, a Claude site-builder skill, every contractor message, a one-page agreement for 10% of each closed job and a Money Tracker. The no-cold-calling method is free to read. Join the free group if you want live training; use the kit if you want the files. Plenty of people will want both.
