GOATs and Unicorns Review: Zack Betzsold's $1,000 Rank and Rent Mastery

Each program and price, how the monthly-rent model works, what it does well — and a $37 alternative that pays on closed jobs instead.

G.O.A.T.s & Unicorns is Zack Betzsold’s training platform from Utah. Its rank and rent program is Rank and Rent Mastery, listed at $1,000, alongside a $500 Google Ads Mastery program and a $997 “2 Week Web Pro” web design program. The model it teaches is classic rank and rent: build lead-gen sites, rank them, and rent the calls to a business for a monthly fee. Zack says on his own sales page that most of his sites start at $500–$1,000 a month in rent, and that he has taught over 1,000 students.

How this review was written: I have not bought this program. Everything below comes from the official Rank and Rent Mastery page and Ippei Kanehara’s course list (May 2026). Note: the “Rank and Rent Mastery” name is also used by Jordan Stambaugh’s program, which is a different course — see my Rank N Bank review. I sell a $37 rank and rent kit, which is the alternative at the end — judge my bias accordingly. Confirm prices on the seller’s site.

How the model makes money

Rent, paid monthly. Zack’s own example is a solar installer paying $1,750 a month, with most sites starting at $500–$1,000 and the “rent” going up as lead volume grows. The pitch to the business owner is that renting a ranked site is cheaper than hiring a marketer. That’s a good argument, but it’s still a pitch: you have to find the owner, get them on the phone and agree a monthly fee before they’ve seen what your leads are worth.

What it does well

  • Mid-range price. $1,000 is well below the $4,000–$6,000 coaching programs.
  • Paid traffic option. The Google Ads program is a way to get leads flowing while a site is still ranking, which most rank and rent courses ignore.
  • Community and motivation are a big part of the brand, which some beginners need.

What to watch out for

  • The full stack adds up. Rank and Rent Mastery plus Google Ads and web design is about $2,500.
  • Monthly rent means selling. If you’re avoiding sales calls, this model doesn’t remove them.
  • Few detailed independent reviews of the course content itself.
  • Broad focus. Ippei’s summary notes it may suit people who already have some marketing skills better than complete beginners.

Who should buy it

Someone who wants a community-driven program at a mid-range price, likes the idea of adding Google Ads, and is comfortable pitching businesses for monthly rent.

The $37 alternative — commission on closed jobs, no pitch

The Rank and Rent Starter Kit replaces the monthly-rent pitch with a free first lead posted in a contractor Facebook group and a written 10% agreement on closed jobs — the contractor sees a real lead before money is mentioned. You build one small site with two Claude skills. $37 one-time. See the no-cold-calling method · every course compared by price.

What you don’t get from the kit: Google Ads training or a coached community. If you want paid traffic from day one, the Google Ads program is the more relevant option.
