Ippei Review (2026): Price, What It Teaches, Claims and Complaints

What Ippei Kanehara’s rank and rent program teaches, what it costs on his own page, how it relates to Dan Klein’s older course, and what’s verified versus claimed.

Quick answer

Ippei Kanehara’s Local SEO Lead Generation is a real, actively sold rank and rent coaching program: weekly Zoom coaching, a private community, a site builder and niche and city reviews. His own page lists $2,700 one-time (or $3,500 to $4,200 on payment plans) plus $600 a year from year two, checked October 2026. His income claims are self-reported, no refund policy is published, and the few independent reviews are negative. It suits people who want live coaching; test the model cheaply first if you are not sure.

Disclosure: I sell low-cost rank and rent kits, so I compete with coaching programs like this one. I haven’t bought Ippei’s program. Everything below links to its source, checked October 2026.

What is Ippei’s program, in short?

Ippei Kanehara runs ippei.com and sells a rank and rent coaching program he calls Local SEO Lead Generation. He was a partner in Dan Klein’s local lead generation program, which ran from 2014 to 2025; Ippei says Dan has since retired and that his own program is built on the same foundations at a new price.

What does Ippei’s program teach?

According to Ippei’s pricing page, the program covers semantic SEO and user behavior signals, picking niches and cities (he reviews your picks), closing local business owners, selling SEO as an agency service, building a team with SOPs and virtual assistants, and getting Google Business Profiles. The core idea is “proof first”: you rank a site before you pitch anyone, so the business can see the calls before paying.

That’s the classic rank and rent model (what rank and rent is), and it’s a sound one. Its weak spot is time: you pay for hosting, tools and links for months before any income, and some sites never rank. Is rank and rent worth it? covers that honestly.

How much does Ippei’s program cost?

Ippei’s pricing page lists $2,700 one-time, $500 a month for 7 months ($3,500 in total) or $300 a month for 14 months ($4,200), and a $600 yearly renewal after the first year to stay in the community. Checked October 2026.

Older third-party reviews report higher numbers: $4,860 to $8,778, $7,860, and “$5,000 to $10,000+” in a 2026 review. Ippei says the $7,860 price was Dan Klein’s program, not his. Add running costs on top: hosting, domains, call tracking and SEO tools. What it costs to start rank and rent adds those up.

Which of Ippei’s claims are verified?

  • Claimed by Ippei: 11+ years in lead generation, sites from 2015 still earning in 2026, 150 local lead gen sites built and ranked in 2025, and “$52K per month” from lead gen (source). I found no independent verification of these numbers.
  • Verified: the program is actively sold, the price and format above are on his own page, and he publishes a lot of free rank and rent content.
  • Self-reported: Dan Klein’s retirement and the 2014 to 2025 dates come from Ippei’s own page; I found no separate statement from Dan.
  • Unknown: refund terms.

What do students and reviewers say?

Independent feedback is thin. When I checked, Trustpilot had only three reviews (March 2024, July 2025, February 2026), all one star, complaining about pushy sales, deposit demands, a refund that wasn’t resolved and a payment mix-up. Three reviews is too few to judge a program by, but none of them is positive. The balanced blog reviews (for example ebizfacts, 3.6/5) credit real student results and an active community, and criticize the price, the unclear pricing and the unclear refund policy. Note that some of those reviews describe Dan Klein’s older program.

Is there anything to watch out for?

The program lists “training on new 2026 strategies for getting Google Business Profiles”. Google’s Business Profile eligibility guidelines list “lead generation agents or companies” as ineligible, so a profile created for a lead gen site risks suspension. Ask exactly what that module teaches before relying on it. A rank and rent site can rank in the regular results with its website alone.

The other is the business model shift: the program also teaches selling SEO as an agency service, which is a different business from owning and renting sites. Know which one you are paying to learn.

Who should buy it, and who shouldn’t?

It may fit you if you learn best with live coaching and accountability, you’re comfortable spending $2,700 to $4,200 before your first site earns, and you want a community and a done-for-you site builder.

Skip it if you want to test rank and rent cheaply first, or you need a clear refund policy before paying. You can learn the core process (niche, city, site, ranking, finding a contractor) for far less, for example without cold calling, and decide later whether coaching is worth it. His own pricing page lists $2,700 one-time, $500 a month for 7 months ($3,500) or $300 a month for 14 months ($4,200), plus a $600 yearly renewal after year one (checked October 2026). Confirm the current price before paying.

Ippei says $7,860 was the price of Dan Klein’s earlier local lead generation program, in which he was a partner, and that reviews quoting it describe Dan’s course rather than his current one.

It’s a real, actively sold coaching program with a real community. His income figures are self-reported and unverified, no refund policy is published, and the few Trustpilot reviews are negative. Judge it on what it teaches and what it costs, not on the income claims.

Not exactly. Ippei was a partner in Dan Klein’s program, which ran from 2014 to 2025. He says Dan has retired and that his own program is built on the same foundations, with a new price.

I couldn’t find a published refund policy on his pricing page. Ask for it in writing before you pay.

Yes. You can learn the process from free guides and low-cost kits, build one test site, and decide afterward whether paid coaching is worth it.
